About WISFF 3.0

WAVES International Short Film Festival – Goa 3.0 (WISFF) is a vibrant platform that celebrates the best in independent and world short cinema. Founded by a passionate team of filmmakers, enthusiasts, and artists,

WAVES is more than a festival, it is a movement to empower emerging voices and spotlight diverse stories. After successfully organising two editions in Goa, with over 500 short film entries and around 250 curated screenings, WISFF has also hosted four editions of a 60-hour filmmaking challenge. Growing beyond borders, WAVES is now expanding nationally; in 2025, the festival reached Dehradun in Uttarakhand, marking the beginning of its journey to multiple cities across India and soon, to global destinations as a truly international celebration of short films and creative storytelling.

Where Indian Creativity Meets Intelligent Cinema

WAVES proudly launches a groundbreaking AI-powered short film initiative, spotlighting the next wave of creative Indian storytellers who dare to blend cinema with code. This edition of WAVES invites India-based AI filmmakers to craft original, thought‑provoking shorts that push the boundaries of imagination, technology, and visual narrative. Participation is limited to creators using AI as a core tool in their filmmaking process, ensuring a unique showcase of innovation-driven cinema. All specific eligibility, format, and submission guidelines are detailed in the Rules and Regulations linked in the entry form.

WAVES 60 HOURS FILM CHALLENGE

The 60 Hours Film Making Contest, now in its fifth edition and organized as part of the Waves International Short Film Festival, has now expended to a national level in India. Our aim is to offer a platform for talented filmmakers, both seasoned professionals and newcomers, from across India to create and showcase their work. Filmmakers nationwide can compete against each other, with a jury of industry professionals reviewing entries and selecting the best films to be screened at our main event. This contest serves as a valuable platform for filmmakers to share their work with a wider audience.
